Covid-19 hospitalizations at EAMC continuing to decline

EAMC PRESS RELEASE-

COVID Remains Relatively Calm at EAMC

Hospitalizations at EAMC for patients with COVID-19 continue to ebb and flow, but are significantly lower than they were 4-6 weeks ago. The newest hot spots for Alabama are in Montgomery, Mobile and Tuscaloosa where those counties accounted for the top three highest number of new cases the past couple of days. “We feel for our friends in those areas right now,” says Ricardo Maldonado, M.D. “We know what it’s like and we hope that residents in those areas will listen to their local health officials to help slow the spread. Having the community’s support certainly helped contain COVID when we were peaking a month or so ago. I’m glad our numbers are lower now and hope our residents will help us keep them low during this pivotal time.”
