Opelika Main Street Postpones "On Tap" & "Touch-a-Truck"

OPELIKA, Ala.- Two of Downtown Opelika’s largest annual events will be postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.

Opelika Main Street On Tap and Touch A Truck, previously scheduled for May 16 and 30, will be postponed to later dates.

Opelika Main Street On Tap is one of the southeast’s largest craft beer events, traditionally drawing hundreds to the downtown area. Touch A Truck is an annual family-friendly event featuring dozens of different cars, trucks and vehicles.

“We value the health and safety of our entire community,” said Opelika Main Street Executive Director Ken Ward. “While we hate moving dates, we knew that it was the best scenario given the ongoing pandemic facing our nation.”

The new dates for both events will be shared in the coming days on social media.
